Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd, the country's second largest paint company has registered net sales of Rs 309.10 crore, an increase of 8.6 per cent as compared to Rs 284.51 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The profit before tax at Rs 36.88 crore as compared to Rs 40.19 crore of previous year, excluding extraordinary gain of Rs 50.39 crore arising out of sale of investments in an associate company in the previous year.
Blue Star gets cooler
For the quarter ended 31December 2006, Blue Star's total income grew by 40 per cent to Rs 370.55 crore (Rs 263.82 crore) and net profit grew by 66 per cent to Rs 11.50 crore (Rs 6.91 crore). The EPS (face value of share is Rs 2) for the quarter stood at Rs 1.28 (Rs 0.77). For the nine months ended 31December 2006, Total income grew by 36 per cent to Rs 1060.08 crore (Rs 778.65 crore) and net profit grew by 58 per cent to Rs 37.19 crore (Rs 23.54 crore)
Hero Honda riding high
Hero Honda Motors Ltd (HHML) which has achieved the unique distinction of being the numero uno in two-wheeler category by registering growth in terms of turnover consecutively for six years in a row.The company clocked an impressive 896,113 units of two-wheeler sales during Q3 2006-07, more than 12 per cent higher than 798,302 units sold in Q3 of 2005-06. This has resulted in Hero Honda's market share in two-wheelers going up to 40 per cent from 39.5 per cent in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal. Turnover increased from Rs 2351 crore to Rs 2700 crore, a healthy growth of 15 per cent.
Aegis Logistics reports growth
Aegis Logistics Limited reported 46 per cent increase in operating revenue for the quarter ended 31 December, 2006. Profitability of gas business improved because of higher marketing volumes and substantial growth in logistic business with government oil companies. Liquid logistic division too performed well though facing acute capacity constraints. Company's timely foray into autogas business continues to be very successful with Aegis Autogas making its presence felt in Gujarat in addition to Maharashtra.
STFC's revenue surges

Company Limited's (STFC) revenue for the quarter ended 31 December 2006
surged by 71.61 per cent to Rs 375.66 crore as against Rs 218.90 crore
of the previous year. The profit after tax also rose by 71.34 per cent
to Rs 57.57 crore as against Rs 33.60 crore recorded in the same period
earlier year. The revenue for the nine months ended 31 December 2006 surged
by 52.12 per cent to Rs 993.42 crore as against Rs 653.06 crore of the
previous year. The profit after tax also rose by 39.12 per cent to Rs 144.62
crore as against Rs 103.95 crore recorded in the same period earlier year.
Four more states will soon have Aegis Autogas Stations. And the company's
expansion plans in Core Logistic business are proceeding well.
