        A state-of-the-art microcontroller laboratory was declared open at College of Engineering, Guindy campus, yesterday.

        According to a press release, Anna University had signed a MoU with Renesas Technology Singapore Pvt Ltd (RTSP) and Renesas System Solutions Asia Pvt Ltd (RSS), Singapore to set up the laboratory.

        The students of Anna University can undertake research and development activities catering to the needs of Indian electronic industries. The laboratory is equipped with latest microcontroller based development tools useful for training programmes for the benefits of practicing professionals.

        The new facility would be maintained and updated with the latest technology by Renesas Technology, Japan and the Frontline Electronics Pvt Ltd, who is the India design house for Renesas Technology, Japan, the release said.
