Tamilnadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala launched VCare's Global Institute of Health Sciences, a premier institute providing education in health, wellness and beauty at Raj Bhavan here recently.
The institute is run by Vcare Helath Educational Propagation and development trust and is accredited to Bedigo Regional Institute of Technical and Further Education (TAFE), Australia.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor emphasised the need for proper awareness among the public on health, facial and body care. He said negligence of the rules of hygiene and indifference to proper healthcare would lead to difference types of problem and one should take care and safeguard it.
Highlighting various prerequisites for good health and mind, he expressed the need to create more awareness among the people. Barnala also launched the institute website, www. vgihs.edu.in and released the brochure.
CEO of VCare's Global Institute of Health Sciences Mukundan said the institute would be providing one-year diploma course and three certification courses on beauty therapy, dressing and trichology respectively.
He said the course would enable them to start their own hair and skin mangement clinics and also use the opportunity to work in FMCG MNCs and better their overseas prospects.
The course would provide education to over 100 students, including 20 students per batch. The course fee would range from Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.75 lakh, he added.
