        Southern Railway will introduce a pair of overnight daily passenger trains between Madurai and Rameswaram to meet the demands of passengers from 9 October.

        According to a press release, the Rameswaram - Madurai passenger will leave Rameswaram at 11.30 pm and reach Madurai at 4 am the next day.

        The Madurai - Rameswaram passenger will leave Madurai at 11.45 pm and reach Rameswaram at 4.15 am the next day.

        Southern Railway has also revised the timings of Rameswaram - Madurai - Rameswaram passenger. Hereafter the train would leave Rameswaram at 6.15 pm (earlier 6 pm) and reach Madurai at 10.30 pm (9.45 pm). Similarly, the return train would leave Madurai at 5.20 am (5 am) and reach Rameswaram at 9.20 am (9.45 am).
