MiniVesta, the IT arm of
Ma Foi Consultants, has entered into an alliance with Kumaran Systems which
would deliver IT requirements and systems to the HR
services group.
Both MiniVesta and Kumaran would utilise each other's capabilities to provide end-to-end solutions to their clients, which would increase their market share and revenue in their respective fields.
Ma Foi's global partner Vedior group has presence in 47 countries through 260 companies and through this new alliance, 'we look forward to leverage the HR group's knowledge and expertise and IT capability of Kumaran Systems,' said Brian Wilkinson, chairman, Ma Foi Management Consultants Ltd. The relationship would also create an interface for the Vedior Operating companies to utilise the expertise of Kumaran Systems in the application, database migration and tools-based application development, he said.
In his address, K Pandia Rajan, managing director and CEO, Ma Foi group, said the company was strengthening its global presence keeping in mind the need for focused approach to each of its service offerings — executive search, consulting, manpower management or career training. 'We will endeavour to realign our approach and provide in-depth and specialised focus to each of the verticals. The focus will be brought in through global delivery centres or RPO centres for assignments in each of these verticals,' he said.
The company has at present 94 offices across nine countries, namely India, the UAE, UK, US, Oman, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Bahrain. 'In this year, Ma Foi will see a rapid foray into the international market and will set foot in Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Qatar, Germany, Canada and Egypt. That later part of the year will see offices in Philippines and Brunei,' he said.
In a novel approach, the
seven retail job centres of Ma Foi set up in Mumbai last year have handled
400 recruitments in the last six months, to average 60 positions a month.
The success of this model would be emulated in other major cities like
Delhi, Gurgaon and Bangalore. This format was aimed at increasing market
reach in professional staffing services, and reducing the gap between the
employers and the job seekers.
