        Six persons who were involved in waylaying at Ennore and Tiruvottiyur beach areas have been arrested by the police. Two motorcycles and six cellphones were recovered from them.

        Following complaints from people over waylaying incidents for the last four months, a special police team was formed to nab the culprits.

        The arrested were identified as Kalidas (24), Malar Arun (24), Ezhumalai alias Kutti (21), Charles alias Manikandan (24), Kumar alias Kumaraguru (19) and Kumar (22). Police are on search for Prabhu alias Velayudham (29) who is found absconding in this connection.
