        Institute of Ocean Management, Anna University, in association with University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, will inaugurate an International workshop on 'Marine Resource Management' on 5 February at The Koodal Halll, Institute for Ocean Management.

        According to a press release, the objective of the workshop is to promote the establishment of integrated coastal zone management programmes tailored to the social and economic priorities of coastal states.

        Vice Chancellor of Anna University D Viswanathan will inaugurate the workshop and director of Integrated Coastal and Marine Area Management (ICMAM) will preside over the function.

        Experts from the University of Amsterdam and Ocean Management and from various research and government organisations are expected to participate in the workshop, the release added.
