School celebrates 10th annual day

        It was an occasion of joy and delight at the Image Auditorium here yesterday when St John's Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mandaveli held its decennial celebrations.

        Present at the function were a host of personalities. And the principal of the School Sylvia Reginald announced the launch of primary sections from the coming academic year.

        Dean R Kishore Kumar gave an assurance on complete scholarship to the students who are recognised as sportspersons at the State or national- level. He also promised a scholarship for those who continue their studies in 11 and 12 standard after securing a mark of above 1000 in their tenth standard examinations.

        Also, he said, a cash prize of Rs 2000 would be given to those who excelled in their studies and secured top marks in each subject in their academic years .

        Minister for Information Parithi Ellamvazhuthi hailed the school for their contribution to society by moulding youth of vigour and calibre. Later, he gave away awards and certificates to the students who excelled in academic and extra curricular activities. The programme also saw the release of the school magazine and cultural programmes by students.
