        GV Films, the prominent name in south Indian film industry, launched its web casting arm www.filmsntv.com, a portal for online entertainment yesterday.

        The inauguration was marked by variety entertainment with the likes of Reema Sen and Ramjhi taking part. Fimsntv.com, is the umbrella portal of series of specific language sites including www.tamilpictures.com, www.telugupictures.com and www.hindipictures.com.

        To begin with, the portal through its tamil site would make available over 250 Tamil movies on the website from an all language collection of 6000-plus movies. It will be featuring an extensive database of movies and TV related news items, previews, wallpapers and ringtones.

        The technical operations are managed by Drushya Entertainment Broadcast Streams.The portal can be accessed at blazing speed through servers placed in various parts of the globe including Singapore, USA and Europe.

        The movie based content available on www.tamilpictures.com include brand new movies, blockbusters, classics and more. The television content will comprise of popular teleserials, special interviews etc.

        The launch was attended by directors Gowtham, Ravichandran, actor Pandiarajan, actresses Poornima Bhakiyaraj, Kutty Padmini,producers A M Rathnam and Thenappan among others.
