        Indian Bank has hiked the interest rates on domestic term deposits with effect from 1 February, 2007.

        For deposits less than Rs 15 lakh for 46 to 90 days—5.50 per cent, 91 to 180 days—6 per cent, 181 to 365 days-7 per cent, over 1 year to 2 years-8 per cent, 2 years to 3 years-8 per cent, 3 years to 5 years-8.25 per cent, 5 years to 10 years-8.25 per cent.

        Deposits for Rs 15 lakh to less than Rs 50 lakh would fetch 5.75 per cent for 46 days to 90 days, 6.25 for 91 days to 180 days, 7 per cent for 181 days to 365 days, 8 per cent for over 1 year to 2 years, 8 per cent for over 2 years to 3 years, 8.25 per cent for 3 to 10 years.

        For deposits of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 5 crore, the interest rate is 8.25 per cent for 1 year upto 10 years.
