'CEOs role vital for success'

Subroto Bagchi ,COO, MindTree Consulting, at the HR summit in Chennai today.

        The CEOs play an integral part in the success of an organisation, observed Lakshmi Narayanan, chairman, National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM).

        Inaugurating the two-day HR summit on 'CEO Insights on Leadership Development: Innovating for Operational Success', he said that a strong management team with a clear cut strategy would pay rich dividends.

        On leadership qualities, he said that it has to be developed at all levels right from the lower cadre to people in senior positions and added that there is an imperative need for a centralised mechanism to identify good managerial team.

        Nasscom president Kiran Karnik, Mphasis, chairman, Jerry Rao, HCL Technologies Ltd, president Vineet Nayar and MindTree Consulting, chief operating officer Subroto Bagchi also spoke on the occasion.
