Kancheepuram, July 5:

        A 55-year-old brick kiln worker died due to a snake bite here yesterday.

        Police said the victim — Kuppan of Saalavakkam had gone to sleep at his work place after finishing work Tuesday night. The next morning, some workers who reached the brick kiln found Kuppan lying in an unconscious state with foam in his mouth.

        Following this, the workers rushed him to a nearby government hospital where he was declared brought dead.

        Police are investigating.
