        Councillors of DMK, Congress, CPI, Puducherry Munnetra Congress staged a demonstration by heaping garbage in front of the Territorial municipality to protest against its failure in clearing garbage in their respective wards. 'Our repeated representations to the Municipal chairperson Sridevi and Commissioner Sumathi had fallen on deaf ears', they alleged.

        Later, the agitating Councillors handed over a memorandum to Chief Minister in this connection.
