        An anonymous telephone call informing that bombs have been planted at the Madras High Court complex today caused a mild flutter. Another bomb threat call to a shopping complex at Adyar kept the police on their toes. However both the calls turned out to be hoax.

        At 11 am, the Registrar's office at the Madras High Court received a call informing them that bombs would explode in the court complex. Immediately, sniffer dogs were pressed into service and a bomb defusing squad was rushed to the scene. However, the call turned out to be a hoax.
