        BSNL Chennai Telephones in order to improve its services has transferred about 1,200 lines from Kellys Main Exchange having telephone number levels - 2532, 2640, 2641, 2642, 2643, 2648, 2661 and 2665 to Purasai RSU '2662' level.

        According to a press release, the above area transfer covers the following boundaries such as North by Strahans Road, South by Mooku Chetty Street, East by part of Perambur Barracks Road and West by Padavettamman Koil Street.

        All the subscribers are requested to re-register the password for STD / ISD barring facilities and any other special facilities already being used by them.

        While the new complaint booking number would be '2622 1191', for any assistance, customers could contact the Sub-Divisional engineer, Purasai through phone number - '2662 0202'.

        Individual intimation confirming the new telephone number allotted is being sent the customers by post, the release said.
