PRICE OF PROGRESS IS NO PROGRESS: The guys
on the two-wheelers are not part of any rally. They are
just waiting for the traffic to clear. But at Perambur, where the Corporation has begun work on
the construction of a flyover, things (as far as
traffic goes) had hit a terminal bottleneck. The Corporation has started soil tests for the Perambur 
flyover project. The construction of the flyover is set
to resume after a gap of more than 5 years. With the
entire area around where the flyover is to come up
being out of limits for vehicles, the other streets
had to bear the brunt of the extra pressure. In
the event, vehicles moved at a pace which snails
would have found to be one in slow-motion.
