        A 37-year-old woman committed suicide by immolating herself, after a family dispute late last night.

        According to police, Maheshwari, a widow, was residing with her daughter Kavipriya and parents at Kamarajar Nagar in Avadi and was working with a telephone service provider.

        It is said that Maheshwari ended her life due to family problems. The body has been sent to Kilpauk Medical Hospital for the postmortem.

        Avadi police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
