Seal Infotech Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Seal Consulting Inc, US, and a leading provider of SAP solutions to major clients in India, has moved into a new facility in Chennai which was got up at an investment of Rs 5 crore.
Spread over 25,000 sq ft of floor space, the new office would be its regional headquarters for India, Middle-East and Asia-Pacific markets. In operation for over three years in India, Seal Infotech had recently opened its second facility in Hyderabad and has marketing centres in Delhi and Mumbai. To meet the growing demand for its SAP (Systems, Applications, Products in Data Processing) range of IT solutions, the company would be doubling its headcount to 800 by the next fiscal year. 'We are in the process of acquiring CMM Level 4 certification for our systems and procedures. We have a good mid-market presence in India and provide offshore support to international customers like DHL, Mittal Steel and Lenovo,' said Vamsi Chelluri, vice-president, Seal Infotech. With a focus on high-tech services for retail segment and establishing Centres of Excellence (COE) in the country, Seal was hopeful to emerge as number one SAP implementation partner for the small and medium enterprises by setting up COEs with over 100 solution experts, he said.
'Seal has always been a pure play SAP services provider and our experience has helped many companies to successfully change their business approaches by utilising SAP systems to adopt innovative strategies for meeting the needs of the market,' he explained.
The company would also focus
on long-term application support and maintenance contract with global customers
for offshore work, said Ravi Pendurthi, co-founder and executive vice-president,
Seal Consulting Inc. The Chennai-based SAP provider has drawn up plans
to invest $3-4 million in the next couple of years to expand its SAP-related
support services and offshore work to domestic and global clients. 'We
will continue to build new composite applications to interface with SAP
as part of product development to expand our business,' he said.
