AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Weather

The debate on weather is as old as humankind and is referred to incidentally in the form of similes related to human mind and proclivities.

The Bhaghavata purana says that the rainy season is marked by dark clouds illuminated by streaks of lightning. It is likened to sparks of false philosophy in dark minds.

Bramavaivarta purana describes the end of the rainy season as the periodic cleansing of bad thoughts in the mind by those after spiritual elevation.

Discussing what makes weather a curse on certain occasions, the sage says that bad weather is a reaction to bad collective action borne on overwhelming sensuality.

The Bhagavadgita indirectly refers to the need for rapport between humans and their environment through relating rain and harvest to sacrifices to please the celestials.

The Matsya purana refers to forest cover and says that raising a single tree equals having ten children to support a family. Dasa putra samo vruksha.

Great souls can order precipitation by mere wish. The wish in the form of a song composed and sung by a great musician drenched a village by welcome rains. Humans are now meeting their needs by industrialisation at the cost of the green cover portending future wars based on the urge to control water resources.
