        The seventh world Reiki Day was celebrated by Reiki Centre of India at Bala Mandhir German Hall, here on Sunday.

        Speaking on the occasion, Madras Veterinary College, Dean, Dr Lalitha John pointed out the advantages of Reiki making the humanity free from mechanical way of life.

        Recalling his son's ailments that got cured due to Reiki, cine actress Lakshmi the general public to utilise Reiki and 'chakra' for happy and prosperous life. Earlier, play back singer, P Susheela spoke about the various colours of 'chakras' and its effects. Later, founder secretary of Reiki Centre of India P S Lalitha presented a powerpoint demonstration about Reiki and Indian Culture. Reiki Centre of India, president, G Gopalakrishnan welcomed the gathering while its member T G Prabhakar proposed a vote of thanks.
