A fine all-round display by Shikkar Hukku (a superb knock of 126 and four-wicket haul) helped St John's English School & Junior College (Besant Nagar) seize a narrow one-run win over Vidya Mandir in the final of the TNCA city schools under-13 cricket tournament here recently.
Batting first, St John's posted a total of 219 in 87.3 overs riding on Shikkar's brilliant 126 while C Asuthosh contributed 39. In reply, Vidya Mandir SSS fell short by a single run as Shikkar (4 for 43) and other bowlers did the damage. Adithya Arun led the way for the losers with a valiant 72.
