Elated by BJP's victory in Uttarakhand Assembly elections, BJP State president L Ganesan said that after the Uttar Pradesh polls which is due in April, there would be a change of government at the Centre.
Speaking on International Women's Day, Ganesan said that it did not call for a celebration as everyday is women's day.
Criticising those in power especially Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, Ganesan said, 'They have so far not come forward to implement 33 per cent reservation for women'.
He said BJP would organise demonstrations in all panchayats in Tamilnadu over skyrocketing prices of the essential commodities from 15 March, and distribute handouts on the impact of the price rise on the common people.
Wrecking Adam's Bridge for the Sethusamudaram Project, the BJP leader said it should be protected from dredging, as it is considered by many as a world heritage site.
In this connection, BJP would
conduct an awareness yatra to Rameswaram, and a decision about the yatra,
would be decided at a BJP State meet, scheduled to be held at Virudunagar
by this month-end.
