Boy scores low in exam, runs away from house

Chennai, Oct 9:

        A 14-year-old student who ran away from home fearing a scolding from his parents for obtaining low marks in his exam was traced near the Mambalam Railway Station here last night.

        Police said Jaishankar, son of a real estate businessman at MGR Nagar, left home in the morning to attend his classes and did not return home till late last night.

        Following a complaint at MGR Nagar police station, a police team searched for him and found him near the railway station.

        When police enquired him, the boy said he scored low marks in the quarterly examination and decided to run away out of fear of being hauled up by his parents.
