        Burglars broke into a Railway employee's house at Guduvancherry near here and decamped with 25-sovereigns gold jewellery valued at Rs two lakh, yesterday.

        The incident came to light when the employee returned home from hospital last evening.

        Police said the robbery had taken place when the Railway worker Krishnan (40) had locked the house and gone to the city for medical treatment.

        When he returned home, he found to his horror that the doors were broken open and valuables missing.
