        Nelcast Ltd, a spheroidal graphite iron casting producer plans to reach a capacity of 1, 50, 000 tonnes per annum by 2008 from it's two plants situated in Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu.

        Speaking to mediapersons, J Joseph, managing director said the company's gross turnover has touched Rs 270 crore in the financial year 2005-06. Currently the compa-ny's capacity from it's two plants has reached 1,02, 000 tonnes per annum from 72, 000 tonnes per annum in the financial year 2005-06.

        The firm has of late been shifting focus from casting to machining——auto components as it feels that the auto components segment are the fastest growing export sector in India. The company's exports are currently close to $5 million per annum.
