        In true cinematic style, the wedding of a small screen artiste Devipriya with an industrialist, scheduled to be held on 19 February, is on the rocks already with a complaint from the groom's first wife. In the wake of this, the industrialist suddenly vanished from the scene.

        The industrialist was Williams, a resident of Adyar. He was already married to one Stella Lidiya.

        In her complaint to the police, Stella said she was married to Williams (son of former Corporation councillor Glory Jeyaraj) in 1999. Due to some misunderstanding with Williams, she started to live with her mother at Tambaram.

        In the meanwhile, she filed a petition in Chengleput court seeking divorce from Williams. The court gave the divorce to Stella since her hubby failed to turn up for the hearing.

        In this backdrop, Williams was to tie the nuptial knot to small screen artiste Devipriya. His first wife, who learnt about the marriage,complained to the police about their first marriage.

        Following these developments, the industrialist went into hiding.

        It may be noted Devipriya had acted in films like Minsara Kanavu and Uyir and a few television serials — Sorgam, Muhurtham, Selvi and Dheerga Sumangali.
