        A variety of vegetables were sculpted into various forms at a national workshop on Vegetable Carving held here recently.

        Among them were a flower pot with flowers carved out from vegetables such as radish, beet roots and carrots by Vinoth from Sai Institute of Carving, T Nagar.

        Over 50 students participated at the workshop organsied by Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Technology and Applied Nutrition.

        Thiruloga Chander, HOD-in-charge of the Catering department said such workshops would enhance creativity among students in vegetable carving.

        The students would also be given hands on training in vegetable, ice and fruit carvings, he said.
