Now, the students have the option of pursuing their engineering course partly in India and partly abroad. International Centre of Applied Sciences, part of Manipal Education has announced admissions for academic year 2007-08 wherein the students can get an international degree with a flexibility to do the first two years in India and the final two years at any of the listed Universities abroad.
Students can choose from over 13 engineering branches and has option of changing area of specialisation. And students can transfer their credits to any other University including the partner Universities.
There are 300 seats for taking in the current academic year. Students have paid internship in US, UK and Australia.
A pass in Plus Two with a minimum of 50 per cent marks or C grade. Students with English, Physics, Mathematics with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology as optional subjects would be eligible for admission.
After successful completion of two year studies at ICAS, the students who wish to continue studies at US universities can apply for student visa at the US Consulate.
Even though the US Universities do not require students to appear for TOEFL or SAT examinations, the US Consulate expects applicants to appear for these examinations.
