        The Committee of Administration (COA) at the Council of Leather Exports was reconstituted at its annu-al general meeting held recently.

        Also, elections were held to the Regional Committees under the supervision of M Sai Kumar, Additional Export Commissioner who was notified as election authority by the Union Ministry of Commerce.

        Following the AGM, the first meeting of the newly formed COA was convened in which new chairman and vice-chairman of CLE were unanimously elected. Mukhtarul Amin was elected as chairman and Habib Hussain as vice-chairman of the Council of Leather Exports. Both would hold office for a period of two years. The following are the regional chairmen elected after the reconstitution of the Regional Committees:

        T Rafeeq Ahmed (South), A K S (No-rth), Anup Kumar Chatterjee (East), M Alam (Central) and P H Mahtani (West).
