The Center for Ethnomusicology will conduct a one-day seminar and workshop on fusion music - methodology and performance on 23 May at Hotel Savera.
The program is designed to improve the understanding of the fusion music genre among musicians and music lovers and offer practical lessons in composing and performing fusion music, said a press release.
The program will include a seminar session in the forenoon, handled by speakers like Akin Euba, professor, department of music, University of Pittsburgh, USA, S A K Durga, director, Center for Ethnomusicology, Niko Higgins, Fulbright Fellow from Columbia University and M Lalitha, Fulbright Fellow from India.
In the afternoon session, the workshop will be held, in which participants will be encouraged to compose and perform fusion music under the guidance of expert faculty.
