AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Grease

In the contest between the legitimate and the illegitimate, the latter scores much to the chagrin of the righteous who eulogise virtue with great gusto.

Some point to illegitimacy as having been glorified. The Pandavas were illegitimate sons of the celestials. That was the case with the great in some cases.

Hanuman was born to Anjana Devi as the son of Vayu and not her husband Kesari. To comment on this is the way in which non-Hindus denigrate Hindu legends.

These are esoteric secrets which, the saints say, are allegories. The trouble is that ordinary minds are baffled and not clarified.

Some would regard all this as the defect of quality of Hinduism. It is seen as the embarrassing consequence of turning subtle worship into the gross.

Giving form to the formless and attributeless Infinite has occasioned the need to glorify forms through allegorical legends.

The pity is that, in this process, people have doggedly forgotten the substance behind the symbols while those who know would not interact with the ignorant.

Hence it is that Hindu Gods revel in every detail with what humans do. The marriages of Gods and divorce of the wife are replicated by them.
