Law students try to win girl unlawfully

NT Bureau
Puducherri, Feb 15:

Five students of Puducherri Government Law College are on the run after they allegedly locked up a girl student of the same college in a classroom and forced her to accept one of them as her lover.

According to police sources, the student Prema Sangitha (18), hailing from Nallapuram near Tindivanam, is a first year student of the college. The final year student Thirukameshwaran was said to have fallen in love with the girl. But she had refused his proposal.

So, Kameshwaran along with his friends Vasanthan, Mohammed Hussain, Tamilarasan and Pushparaj forcefully took Sangitha to their classroom. Forcing her to love Kameshwaran, they had locked them both inside the room. As she started shouting for help, the college watch man rushed to the classroom and rescued her, the police said.

Then, the watch man took her to the college principal who later registered a complaint in this regard at the Kalapet police station. The police are on lookout for the five students who are absconding.
