        GAIL India, owners and constructors of the Dabhol- Panvel pipeline, formed to provide fuel for the mega Dabhol Power Plant, has ordered an additional 124 kms of 30 inches diameter line pipe from Spiral Pipe manufacturer PSL Limited, to complete its requirement for the important 'Dabhol to Panvel High-Pressure Gas Transmission Pipeline.'

        PSL had already received orders for, and completed supplies against, three previous and connected segments of this nationally important pipeline-Dabhol Uran phase I, Dabhol Uran phase II, Dabhol Panvel phase I.

        The four successive orders secured by PSL from GAIL exceed a total value of Rs. 800 crores. PSL has successfully demonstrated its ability for timely completion in the first 3 orders, where supply has been affected and construction completed of 550 kms of 30 inches diameter pipes.

        The company has virtually doubled the earlier existing capacity of its pipes division with a capacity addition of three new pipe mills. Consequently, the aggregate pipe manufacturing capacity of PSL Limited now stands at a proud 1,100,000 MT per year. In its coating business, the company undertakes coal-tar enamel coating, concrete weight coating, fusion-bonded and internal epoxy coating, and three layered polyethylene coating.
