Three persons, who were carrying five kg of ganja, have been arrested by the police near Redhills-Tiruvallur Main Road intersection and the narcotics seized from them. The fourth person managed to escape from the scene.
Police said the arrest was
made during a routine surveillance to curb drug trafficking from Andhra
Pradesh. The police, on suspicion, detained the four and found them to
be carrying ganja. According to police, the arrested, belonging to Vyasarpadi
and Tondiapet areas. During interrogation, they confessed that they had
brought the narcotics from Andhra Pradesh to be handed over to one Sivakumar
of Royapuram, police added.
