        Toyota Kirloskar Motor has bagged the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), star performer award for large enterprises for 2004-05.

        The award was given by State Finance Minister K Anbazhagan at a function held in the city. Rakesh Shah, national chairman, EEPC and B Chandrasekaran, chairman, EEPC, southern region were present on the occasion.

        Receiving the award on behalf of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, A R Shankar, general manager, said, 'India has move up from commodity export to manufacturing and export of auto components. The award is an example of the confidence placed on the growing manufacturing sector in India by the rest of the world.'
