Villupuram, Feb 18:
Houses, numbering 392, which were built by Vikravandi Charms, an NGO, for the fisherfolk of Hanumandhai Kuppam, Ekkiyar Kuppam villages of the Villupuram district affected by tsunami were handed over to the affected people at a function
District Rural Development Agency project officer Selvaraj welcomed the gathering. Puduchery-Cuddalore district chief bishop Anthonysamy explained about the project while Revenue and Prisons Department Minister Periyasamy presided over the function.
Delhi Caritor India director Varghese handed over the permanent dwelling units' keys and spoke. District Collector Brajendar Navneeth received the keys. Fisheries Department Minister Samy honoured he engineers who built the houses. He handed over the insurance documents to the beneficiaries.
Higher Education Minister Ponmudi declared open the houses and gave away other welfare assistance.

MLAs Uthayasooriayan, Pushparaj, Kannan, Thirunavukkarasu, Angaiyarkanni,
