        In line with the announcement made in the State Assembly, the government has constituted welfare boards for fishermen, Scheduled Tribes and Denotified Tribes.

        In an official release here yesterday, Fishermen Welfare Board will be headed by Fisheries Minister K P P Samy and will have 14 members, including the Minister.

        Also, the 14 member Scheduled Tribes Welfare Board will be headed by State Minister for Adi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribes A Tamilarasi.

        The Welfare Board for Denotified Tribes will have 13 members with Backward Classes Minister M R K Paneerselvam as the chairman.
