Dizzee World to renew focus on security

        MGM Dizzee World, an amusement park, near Chennai, is all set to be on par with international standards on safety and security, according to its managing director, MGM Rajan.
      Speaking to reporters recently, Rajan said they were planning to get international accredition soon. Terming the recent fatal accidents as tragic indicating negligence, the managing director said, 'We're trying our best to offer best safety standards to our customers.'

        The park has insurance cover as they have tied up with United India Insurance, Rajan said and added that they have also entered into a tie-up with a local hospital for providing emergency services.

        Referring to the new attraction in the park - Horror Bungalow - for which Rs 75 lakh had been invested, he said they have asked the State Tourism Minister to inaugurate it.

        He further said they have also set up 'Italian wave pool' at a cost of Rs one crore and in the wake of popular demand, a permanent snow house would be set up by next year at a cost of Rs 10 crore across 40,000 square feet area. MGM Group's overall turnover last year was Rs 300 crore out of which the park alone contributed Rs 10 - 15 crore and they were expecting 20-30 per cent growth in the next year. The group which also has a resort adjacent to the Amusement Park has added 25 cottages to it.
