        A 35-year-old man fatally attacked his mother-in-law after a scuffle in her house at Washermenpet in north Chennai, police said here today.

        Suman's wife Jeeva (28) had walked out on him citing his drinking habit as a reason. And when he went to take his wife back to his house, a quarrel broke out as Jeeva refused to go back. This angered him so much that a clash ensued and Suman attacked her mother Nagavalli. She was admitted to Stanley Hospital where she succumbed to injuries. Washermanpet police have registered a case and taken Suman into custody.
