Adding one more to its range, Ford India has come out with its all-new variant of Ford Fiesta.
The company rolled out its Ford Fiesta 1.4 litre petrol ZXi DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) and 1.4 8V SOHC (Single Overhead Camshaft) version, at a launching function yesterday.
Interestingly, this is the latest addition to a new six-model line-up, including three petrol and three diesel variants.
Ford India vice president Scott McCormack told reporters that the new model has been focused for city driving and is being introduced following feedback from the customers.
'This is the first launch of the Fiesta 1.4 L ZXi Duratec (Dura Technology) in the country and the ZXi series has some additional features including electric outer rear-view mirrors, programmable keyless entry and driver seat height adjust mechanism,' he said and added that the new Fiesta was designed for increased level of comfort.
The new Fiesta is available in six colours including platinum, moon dust silver, paprika red, diamond white, panther black and jewel violet.
Since its introduction in
November 2005, Fiesta is understood to have gained a market of 15 per cent
in the mid-size premium car segment. Out of Ford's turnover of 42,000 cars
last year, 70 per cent were diesel and 30 per cent petrol model. The ZXi
is priced at Rs 6,30,700 (ex showroom Chennai).
