        Kumar Builders got a recognition in winning the 'Srishti Green Cube Award' under infrastructure category.

        At a function held in Delhi, Union Commerce Minister Kamal Nath gave away the award to Lalit Kumar Jain, chairman, Kumar Builders.

        The company bagged the award on the basis of the social activities and their concern for preservation of the environment, which is seen through the implementation of extensive programme in solid waste management, rain water harvesting, solar energy, expanding the green belt.

        It is pertinent to point out that this is for the first time such an award was instituted and was given for 'Good Green Governance'.

        Kumar Builders is also the first construction company in India to obtain an ISO 14001:2004 environment certification for proving their commitment towards conservation and a healthier environment.
