        Vaikasi Vishakam will be celebrated at the Chennai Om Sri Skandasramam on 30 May for Lord Swaminathaswamy with a special abhishekam at 9.30 am and adorning of the deity with silver Kavacham. In the evening, Lord Swaminathaswamy will be adorned with a special alankaram of sandana kappu. There will be a go puja at 7.00 am and annadanam at 12.30 pm on the same day.

        On 1 June, there will be a special abhishekam to Sadguru Shrimath Santhananda Swamigal in view of the aradana of Sadguru Shrimath Santhananda Swamigal at 10.00 am, followed by annadanam at 12.30 pm.

        Science City is organising a 10-day Entrepreneurship Develop-ment Programme (EDP) for women in hotel management and catering technology at Science City Auditorium.

        According to a press release, the programme which began yesterday has been designed for aspiring women entrepreneurs which includes general aspects of entrepreneurship, theoretical and practical training on catering technology.

        This programme is being organised in association with the Tamilnadu Small and Tiny Industries Association, FNF service centre, Guindy, and the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, the release added.

        Chennai-based Hindustan Software Ltd (HSL) is offering in-plant training for engineering students of Electrical & Electronics, Electronic & Communication, Computer Science and Information Technology.

        According to a press release, the course focuses on nano technology, knowledge engineering and information security. Industry experts from relevant fields would provide insights and train the students.

        On completion of the course, certificates would be provided to students. The classes would be conducted for 15 days of two hours per day.

        Sangati Trust is organizing a two-day summer arts and crafts workshop for children on 2 and 3 June. A press release here said the camp would be conducted at 33, (Old No.70), Z Block, 11th Street, Anna Nagar. The session will be led by veteran educator and teacher trainer Ravi Aluganti.
