Sir,
With reference to your editorial - Blasted Ideas (21 May), I must congratulate you once again for your bold, innovative and thought provoking article.
In this article you have clearly mentioned about the way terrorists are striking at - will with impunity, Whether the congregation takes place during Deepavali and the crowded places like temples or mosques, I wish to point out certain facts - we cannot blame the Police or Paramilitary forces for this kind of situation. Hence we have to squarely blame the political scenario prevailing in our country for not bringing the police reforms and also in bringing reforms in the Criminal Justice System. Already the police reforms case is pending before the Supreme Court. Recently, the Supreme Court also asked nearly six States to file the counter reply in the above matter. Political will is required to bring reforms of the above at the earliest, so that the Police and the paramilitary forces can act freely and fearlessly in dealing with anti-nationals and to bring ever-lasting peace in our Bharath.

Sir,
Union Minister T R Baalu seems to be suffering from all sorts of complexes, to say the least. He has taken all efforts and is trying his best in the Sethu Samudram Canal Project which he seems to nurture as his pet project. However, at the same time he can show some kind of consideration when it comes to such kind of historical facts like Ramar Sethu Bridge.
Even NASA seems to have recorded the photo fact of the bridge. Baalu seems to be very touchy and wants to achieve whatever he decides by some methods to gain a good name. Several experts have made observations about the protecting the Rama Sethu. Baalu seems to have adopted an approach to put out all such valid arguments even by eminent persons like V R Krishna Iyer and others.
As a senior Minister, he can find a solution by consensus too!
