Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today issued a stern warning against those involved in job rackets in the State.
Responding to a query of CPI members and some DMK members during Question Hour in the Assembly, the Chief Minister said the Tamilnadu police would initiate strict action against the racketeers if found guilty.
Last year, 108 persons from Chennai, Tirunelveli and Tuticorin were arrested in 143 such cases. Of this, 37 cases were under investigation, 63 cases pending in court and 42 cases disqualified, as it was proved false.
He further informed that the State government would urge the Central government for the quick release of Tamilians imprisoned in Malaysian prison.
Further, Karunanidhi said
the State government had set up an agency for enhancing foreign jobs for
professionals being headed by IAS officers.
