        A man and his nephew were killed when their bike was hit by a lorry in Rajamangalam, here, today morning.

        Police, said Muthu (45), a mason of Vasan Nagar, Kolathur, and his sister's son Niranjan (16), a class XI student, were returning after a visit to a temple in Vadapalani on Muthu's moped when the tragedy occurred.

        The moped was hit by a lorry on Irulur Adi Road, Rajamangalam, Thirumalai Nagar and the wheels of the lorry had run over the two of them, killing them on the spot. Villivakkam police have sent the bodies to the Kilpauk Government Hospital for post mortem. Lorry driver Thamizhvanan (28) of Sivagangai was arrested.
