Villupuram, Aug 23:

        An elderly man died and another was injured in a road accident near Villupuram.

        Police said Ranganathan (60) was going from Villupuram to Ashokapuri on his motorcycle and Duraikannu (67), was on his way to Villupuram on a scooter.

        The two riders hit each other when Ranganathan tried to overtake a bus, which ran over him killing him at the scene. Duraikannu was taken to hospital with injuries. The police are investigating the accident.
