        The Police Department seems to have been plagued with ill-luck, this morning.

        When sub-inspector Devaraj went to meet sub-inspector Narayanan, who met with an accident today, little did he know that he too would share the same fate before the day's work was over.

        Police said sub-inspector Narayanan, attached to Washermenpet Police Traffic Wing and a resident of Neelangarai, met with an accident near Foreshore Estate and was admitted to a private hospital at Adyar for treatment. On receiving information about the incident another traffic sub- inspector Devaraj, on duty at Triplicane, was ordered by police headquarters to meet the accident victim immediately at the hospital. Unfortunately, Devaraj also met with an accident near MRC Nagar and admitted to the same hospital, where the other sub-inspector was nursing his injuries.
