        Chennai lad Harinderpal Singh advanced to the semifinals of the NSC Satellite #3 squash tournament at Kuala Lumpur, organised by the Professional Squash Association.

        Harinder defeated second-seed and local favourite Nafiizwan Adnan 11-9, 11-6, 11-9 in 46 minutes, according to a press release here.

        The start saw Harinder keep Nafiizwan to the back of the court but as the game progressed Harinder played some delightful drops and slotted some nicks on both flanks. Harinder seemed to have the match wrapped up leading 7-2 in the 3rd game, but Nafiizwan clawed his way back to 8-8 being patient.

        Harinder will be playing his first PSA tour semi final against 3rd seeded Nafzahizam Adnan, brother of Nafiizwan today. Earlier in the event, Harinder defeated 6th seed David Vidal.

        The other Indians did not make it past the first round included Naresh Kumar, Surbhi Misra, and Anwesha Reddy.
