Congress would discuss with it allies at the ruling United Progressive Alliance the deadlock in the 27 per cent OBC quota at higher educational institutions for arriving at a consensus.
Talking to newsmen at the Chennai airport today, M Veerappa Moily, the AICC observer, said even though the Supreme Court was hearing the case on OBC quota, the Central government has been seized of this matter and would take a positive decision soon. Both the ruling Congress and the alliance partners would deliberate on the quota issue and UPA partners were giving careful consideration on whole subject, he assured.
He expressed confidence that Congress would romp home with majority in the on-going Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Yasodha, among others, welcomed Moily when he arrived at the Chennai airport
from Thiruvananthapuram. Moily held consultations with them for close to
thirty minutes before talking to waiting scribes.
