        A policeman was found dead, hanging from the ceiling of his house at the police quarters in Kondithope yesterday.

        According to police sources, Rajendran (35), who was attached to Kodungaiyur Police Station, had married Tamizhselvi (30) five years ago. Two years ago he and his wife had parted ways.

        Noting a bad smell emanating from his house yesterday, his neighbours had investigated only to find him hanging dead from the ceiling.

        The Seven Wells police then sent the body to Stanley Government Hospital for postmortem. Police are investigating.
